Lance Thompson

Lance Grand Thompson, age 62, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away at his home on June 1, 2026.

Lance was born June 24, 1963 in Roosevelt, Utah to Tommy and Lucille McCook Thompson.

Lance loved the mountains, fishing, hunting, gambling and painting. When he was younger he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and playing sports. He liked watching football and the Minnesota Vikings was his favorite team.

He is survived by his dog, Colossus, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; all of his siblings, Walter Thompson, Willis Thompson, Bernelle Arrive Roundy, Larry McCook, Willard Thompson, Gloria Thompson, Thomas Kent Thompson, Judy Thompson, Suzie Washington Thompson, Fredrick Tim Thompson; his nieces and nephews, Kim Will Thompson, Joshua Justin Jenks, Robbie Jenks, Michael Earl Thompson, Christine Thompson, Richard Vigil Burns, Cornell Burns, Romondo McCook.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Randlett Community Building. A wake will be held after 4:00 PM on Thursday at the same location. After final view and lunch, he will be buried in the Randlett Cemetery.
