LaMar "Sandy" Richman

The graveside services will be live-streamed here.

LaMar J “Sandy” Richman, age 87, of Neola, died September 20, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born September 21, 1933, in Neola, to Elmer John and Florence Woodward Richman. His nickname became “Sandy” because of his red hair, and he was known by that ever since. He met his eternal sweetheart, LaJean Neilsen, in band class at the Roosevelt High School. They were married on August 3, 1951, and were sealed for time and eternity on July 30, 1963, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had seven children whom they were very proud of. She died August 15, 2020. He loved his family beyond measure, especially the grandkids.
Sandy delivered gas and propane throughout the Basin, and owned Sandy’s Super Service as well as Old West Trading Post. He was a cowboy through and through, and you rarely saw him without a tilted cowboy hat or cowboy boots. When he retired, he enjoyed being a rancher and going to the sales barn on Saturdays. He taught his family the value of hard work and always to be true to your word.
He was a kind, loyal, and generous man, who will be forever and always in the hearts of his family. God bless you, till we meet again.
Sandy is survived by his children, Larry (Cathie) Richman, LeiAn (Ray) Snyder, Lynda Myore, Lana Cuch, numerous grand, great, and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Melba (Jay) Turner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaJean; parents; children, Leesa Wopsock, Ladd Clyde Richman, Lori Jo Cuch; grandsons, Rocky Lee Snyder, Ryan E Snyder, Ladd L. Richman, Michael Dusty Rhoades, Chauncey Cuch, Luke Mortensen, and Layton Mortensen; sons-in-law, Woodrow Myore, Farrel Cuch, Del Wopsock, Gale Cuch; and brothers, Weldon, Alma, & Edwin Richman, and two infant brothers, Gene & J. Arvon Richman.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 12:00 noon at the Neola Cemetery. There will be an informal viewing on Friday from 3-6 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.
The family would like to thank Canyon Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. A special “Thank You” to Lana, his daughter, Lana’s grandson, Russ, and granddaughter, Kim.
