Kyle David Hamblin, age 23, of Montwell, died on September 27, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Kyle was born on April 8, 2002, in American Fork, Utah, to Robert John and Judy Swasey Hamblin. He came home to three older siblings and they loved their little brother.
Kyle was always trying to grow up way too fast. When he was six, he wanted to drive the tractor out of the field. When he did get old enough you only had to show him how to do something once and he could do it. The machinery is what he liked and he liked running it. When he was shown how to cut hay the first time, he tried to turn wide because that was how it was done on “Farming Simulator.” When he was shown how to do it the right way he cut all the hay from that moment on.
He has been feeding and farming since before he was out of high school. That was his passion. So many times he would come home with grease on his hands after working on something. He really liked working on the equipment. When he rebuilt the tractor he wanted it straight piped. It was so that we would know where he was when he was in it.
Kyle graduated from Union High School in 2020. It was a great day when his mother went to get his diploma, since he didn’t want to go back in the school to get it. He really didn’t like school, except for Auto Mechanics and Welding.
His favorite reading material was owner’s manuals or anything about farming.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Robert and Judy, siblings, Maigan Hamblin, Maelyn (Spencer) Banks, and Kevin (Anna) Hamblin; nephew, Kaidan Banks, all of Montwell; grandmother, Jeanette Swasey; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James B. Hamblin and George L. Swasey, and his grandmother, Ruth J. Hamblin.
