Kenneth Keith “Kenny” Santio, age 41, of Neola, passed away July 12, 2026, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, after a long illness.
He was born April 29, 1985, in Roosevelt, to Lucus Santio and Thelma Lee.
Kenny had worked for the Ute Indian Tribe and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending as much time as possible in the mountains. He was a Sundancer. He was a talented artist at drawing and creating artwork. He was a social person, but shy at times and mischievous.
Kenny is survived by his father, Lucus (Sharlisa) Santio, Ft. Duchesne; siblings, Robert (Bobbi) Lee, Neola; Henry LaRose, Keanna Santio, both of Salt Lake City; Luc Santio, Ft. Duchesne; Noel Santio, Ronan, Montana; Sadacia Basurto, Covelo, California; Kashia Peters, Salt Lake City; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Lee; step-father, Emerson Serawop; sisters, Babes LaRose, Josepha Basurto; grandparents, Elaine Lee, Kenneth & Nataline Santio; uncles Gordon & Virgil Lee, Andrade & Kenneth Kirk Santio, Pat Padia; aunts, Linda Garcia, Augustina Santio; and a nephew, Cimeron Ruiz Santio.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a wake at Robert Lee’s home (11000 N 2490 W, Neola) after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery.
