Kenneth Lynn Sireech, age 67, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away on May 23, 2015 at the University Hospital.
Kenneth was born on January 11, 1948 in Ft. Duchesne to Francis McKinley and Rose Sireech. He was raised by his beloved grandma, Tersita Kanpatch.
Kenneth loved his native culture and supported all activities in the community. He was a true dancer who loved to attend the Pow Wow, Bear Dance and could dance through the night. He liked to fish, travel, especially to Wendover and Las Vegas to gamble, ride his bike around the community and attend the Sr. Center everyday to eat, exercise and see his friends. He loved his family and delighted in spending time with them. One of his favorite memories was attending the Ira Hayes Memorial in Sacaton, Arizona.
He is survived by his siblings, LeRoy Toponotes, Jr., Duchesne; Charma McCook, Vernal; Pearl Toponotes, SLC; Julienne Lomahaftewa, Lapoint; Sherrilla McKinley, Vernal; Michael McKinley, Patricia (Keith) Secola, all of Tempe, AZ; Francine Kagenveama, Ft. Duchesne; Michelle (Aaron) Sabori, Roosevelt; sister-in-law, Velma Sireech, Myton; uncle, William Appawora, Sr.Ft. Duchesne; nieces and nephews, Noni Sireech, Valentina Sireech (Arnold Morris), Judd Sireech, Joshua Toponotes, Pacer Toponotes, Isaac McCook, Jennifer (Garret) Jensen, aunt, Melba Appawora; cousins, William Appawora, Jr; Henry Appawora; Camille Appawora; granddaughter, Victoria McCook, and numerous nieces and nephews including the Accuttoroop family members.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Anthony Chavez.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myton Presbyterian Church. A wake will be held on Thursday after 4:00 p.m. at his home.
