      Kathleen Benson, age 65, of Roosevelt, died March 29, 2023, at the University of Utah Hospital.
    She was born July 16, 1957, in Roosevelt, to Murel Kirk and Mauna Lou Frandsen Benson.  
    Kathy attended Dixie College and then served in the Virginia Roanoke Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Family & Community History.  She loved genealogy and was very skilled in research. She was a volunteer at the Roosevelt Family History Center for many years.
    Kathy loved reading, cooking, puzzles, and collecting Christmas Ornaments.
    She is survived by siblings Murel K. (Lawan) Benson, Hermiston, Oregon; Barbara Benson, Carl Benson, both of Roosevelt; brother-in-law, Sterling Stubbs, Vernal; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hillicoss, Oklahoma; Rhonda Benson, Texas; also many wonderful nephews, nieces, and grand-nephews and -nieces.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mark Jenson, Michael Jensen, Wendy Stubbs, Barry Benson; sister-in-law, Kris Jenson; nephews, Mark C. Jenson, Steven Stubbs, and niece, Angela Ledbetter.
     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt West Stake Center.  A viewing will be held that morning from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
    Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
