Judith Mitchell Schaub age 78, passed away peacefully in St. George, Utah surrounded by her family.
She was born January 1, 1944, in Neola, Utah to Elmer D. Mitchell and Morella M. Mitchell. She married Larry R. Chappell on March 20, 1964, in Salt Lake City. She later married William R. Schaub, Jr. on May 12, 1973, in Salt Lake City.
Judith loved to serve and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She skillfully served a mission at the St. George Family Search Library and loved the work she did.
Judith graduated at the top of her high school class in Tooele and earned a scholarship to the University of Utah. She later returned to the university with three children in tow to graduate from the School of Engineering with a degree in the newly created area of “Computer Science”. She had a successful career in Information Systems and later in Environmental Management Systems. Judith was known for being kind, caring, and classy. She was a loving and dedicated friend and mother. She loved everyone she knew and everyone who knew her loved her. She enjoyed crafting greeting cards as gifts and loved traveling with family and friends.
She is survived by children: Mona K. Leiber (Jeff), Dianna J. Larsen (Kent), James W. Chappell (Tamra), Linda Schaub Jeter (John); grandchildren: Christopher J. Chappell (Kasey), Jamie R. Topping (Adam), Amanda J. Friend, Kyra B. Chappell, Kayla N. Leiber (Jacob), Matthew W. Chappell, Sierra L. Jeter, Jeremiah J. Jeter; great-grandchildren: Carter J. Chappell, Kennedy M. Chappell, Cassian J. Topping, Caden R. Chappell, Ashlynne J. Topping, Kaisley R. Chappell, Tristan J. Topping.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
There will be a public viewing on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Hullinger Mortuary from 11:30 am-12:15 p.m. The funeral will be a private family service.
Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery.
