Paul Joshua "Josh" Goodrich, loving husband, father, son, grandson and brother unexpectedly left this world on September 7, 2024 at the age of 44.
Josh was born to Paul and Shawnna Kearney Goodrich on October 27, 1979 in Provo, Utah. His family moved to North Carolina where he spent most of his youth before moving back to Orem, Utah. Even though most of his life was spent in Utah, his heart was always in North Carolina, so much so, in fact, that he had hoped to move his own family there one day.
Josh's hobbies included reading, especially anything about history and comic books, watching Ghost Adventures, any horror movie and anything related to Batman and the Chicago Cubs. He loved spending his evenings cuddling with his wife and during baseball season, yelling at the TV for the Cubs to get it together. Going to Wrigley Field and catching a game in person was always towards the top of his bucket list.
To know Josh was to love him. He was such an amazing man who touched so many lives in so many ways. He had the biggest heart of anyone you would ever meet. And he always took other people's feelings into consideration.
Josh is survived by his loving wife, Stacie; his son, Gavin; his parents, Paul and Shawnna; sister, Rachel “Missy”; brother, Kaleb; grandparents, Wayne and Connie Kearney; extended family through marriage, Jim (Shari) Adams, Chris (Tracy) Adams, Tim (Sarah) Adams; plus his aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews who all absolutely loved and adored him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Faye Goodrich.
We are all so extremely heartbroken with his loss and will feel a void in our hearts, but we know this is not goodbye forever, it's just goodbye for now.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Neola Church located at 9000 North 2000 West Neola, Utah. Lunch will be provided by the Neola 1st Ward, directly after the memorial service. After lunch, we will proceed to the Bluebell Cemetery for Interment.
