John Allmon

    John Allen Allmon, age 66, of Roosevelt, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the Beehive Home in Naples, Utah.
    Born on April 30, 1960, in Salem, Ohio, John was the son of the late Ernest Allmon and Mary Alice House Allmon. On July 27, 1979, he married Brenda Adams and they raised 2 beautiful daughters together before later separating. John worked hard for most of his life as a truck driver, dedicating many years to the road.
    Those who knew John best understood that beneath a sometimes gruff exterior was a tender-hearted man with a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a natural jokester who loved to make people laugh. In his later years, he found great joy in simpler pleasures—cherishing good times surrounded by close friends, and channeling his creativity into making beautiful, intricate roses out of metal. Above all else, John adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense light and happiness to his life.
    John is survived by his daughters, Erica Allmon, of Layton, Utah, and Angela Allmon, of Roosevelt; his beloved grandchildren, Zaya Rose, Jade Alexis, Raelee Potter, Eric Mecham, Madison Mecham, and his great-grandchild, Lyric Rae. He is also survived by his siblings, Regina Costlow, Tracy (Charles) Leverknight, Stacy (Dan) Hawkins, and Leigh (Chanti) Allmon, all of Ohio, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary; his siblings, Gary Allmon, Debbie Allmon, and Jeff; and his sister-in-law, Joan Allmon.
    Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate John's life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Hullinger Mortuary.
