"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness." - Matthew 25:23

Janice Irene Mower Gardner passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by family, prayer, laughter, and love. Her final days were filled with the presence of those she cherished most, and she departed this life with faith, grace, and the assurance that she was going home to heaven.

Born on October 24, 1944, in Binghamton, New York, Janice lived a life marked by devotion to God, love for her family, and compassion for others. If you knew Janice, you knew what mattered most to her. She loved her husband, she loved her family, and most of all, she loved Jesus.

Janice shared a beautiful love story with her husband, Cal Gardner, the love of her life. Together they built a family and a lifetime of memories. Though she missed him deeply after his passing, her love for him never faded.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren were among her greatest joys. Whether she was playing Yahtzee or Blitz, making up songs and stories, sharing laughter around the kitchen table, or simply spending time together, she had a way of making each person feel deeply loved.

To know Janice was to know hospitality. She was an extraordinary cook whose meals brought people together. Family gatherings centered around her table, where no one left hungry and everyone felt welcome. She successfully owned and operated the C&J Café in Delta and Craig, Colorado, but her greatest gift was never the food she served-it was the love and generosity she shared.

Janice's faith was the foundation of her life. She loved studying God's Word and helping others grow in their relationship with Christ. Through Bible studies, recovery ministries, and countless personal conversations, she encouraged women to find hope, healing, and freedom. She walked alongside many through the 12-step journey, often using the Life Recovery Bible to help others discover God's grace and restoration.

In the days following her passing, message after message arrived from people whose lives she had touched-many sharing stories of how her faith, encouragement, and love helped them through difficult seasons.

She found joy in simple things-searching for arrowheads, spending time with family, sharing stories, and creating memories. Her life was not measured by possessions or titles, but by the people she loved and the faith she lived.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life, Cal; her beloved daughter, Cindy; her grandson; her parents; and many family members and friends who welcomed her home. Most of all, she is now in the presence of the Savior she faithfully loved and served throughout her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Roosevelt Christian Assembly 870 E. 200 N. Roosevelt, Utah 84066.

Janice leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, laughter, and unconditional love. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved so well.
