James Means

James "JD" Means returned his soul to his maker on June 18, 2026. After a battle with cancer, he died peacefully at home surrounded by family. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 52 years, Candace, his children Wanda Luthif Gillette WY, Cathy Means of Rapid City SD, Marcia Modec of Luther OK, Patrick (Charlotte) Means of Gillette WY, Ginny (Mark) Murphy of Roosevelt UT and Clayton Means of Gillette, and brothers Edward (Ursula) Means and Alvin Ogden. Twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Also his sweet pooch Rosie. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lois, Leona, Shirley, Barbara, John, Pauline, and 3 sons-in-law, Denis, Branko, and Todd.
