James Franklin McCook

       James Franklin McCook, age 75, of Randlett, passed away February 6, 2022, at his home.
    He was born September 30, 1946, in Ft. Duchesne, to Franklin and Thelma Williams McCook.  
    James worked as a welder and had also been a boxer, he was a sparring partner of “Little Red Lopez.”  He enjoyed camping, fishing, being in the mountains, and picnics at Big Springs.  He went to watch his nephews dance at the SunDances and was a good guitar player.
    James is survived by his children, James McCook, Jr.; Shawn Robb; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lynda (Edson) Gardner, Ft. Duchesne; Kenneth (Kathie) McCook, Ft. Duchesne; Anita Jane McCook, Roosevelt; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Holly McCook, son, Jesse McCook; siblings, Glenda Kidd, Laverne Cesspooch, Karen Cesspooch, Vivian McCook, nephew, Kendall McCook, Pete Cesspooch, Steven Cesspooch and his parents.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Community Building where a wake will be held on Wednesday after 4:00 p.m.
    Burial will be in the Randlett Cemetery.
