Ila Rhae Gingell

      Ila Rhae McConkie Gingell, age 88, of Myton, Utah, joined her eternal companion on October 26, 2022. She sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to Russel Earl Gingell November 16, 1953.  He died November 27, 2014.  
    She was Born January 21,1934 to Reed Smoot and Jennie McConkie. She grew up in Tridell, Utah in a very loving family, being best friends with her sisters. 
    She was a devoted spouse and mother. She was beside Russ in all his endeavors and supported her children in all they did. She would tell her children she developed BB (Bleacher Butt) from sitting in stadium bleachers and auditorium seats. This support also extended to her grandchildren. She kept score for most of the baseball games she attended and taught many of the baseball boys how to keep score. Little League Baseball and Basketball were a big part of her life. She is remembered for the many years she devoted to the Title 1 program at the Myton Elementary School making gingerbread houses and helping where she was needed.
    She is survived by 13 of her 14 children: Don (Cheryl), Lila McShee (John), Arlene Jones (Charlie), Lorrie Mainord (Robert), Shari, Becky Jamison (Paul), Danna Blocker (David), Reed (Donna), Wayne (Cindy), Stephen (Naomi), Benjamin (Jennifer), Jennifer Hansen (Chet) and Alisa Reynolds (Nathan). She is also survived by 57 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by husband, Russel and son, Bradley, her parents, one older sister and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, son-in-law Mark Whitaker, and great grandson, Justin Todoruk.
    She will be greatly missed by her surviving children and will be remembered with love and gratitude.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Myton Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 1 at Hullinger Mortuary 6:00-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service. 
    Burial to follow at Myton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to a cause that was close to Ila Rhae’s heart, feeding the kids at local schools.
