Ila Vaye Anderton-Grammer

Ila Vaye Anderton-Grammer, age 75, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away July 9, 2015 in Harpster, Idaho.
Ila Vaye was born April 29, 1940 in Roosevelt, to John Reed and Arvilla Timothy Lemon. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1958. She married Roy Davis Springer May 29, 1959 and they had two children together: Scott and Sharilyn. They later divorced. She then married Samuel Ted Anderton November 19, 1977 in the Salt Lake Temple. Sam had four children from a previous marriage: Jim, Carl, Mark, and Sherry. Together they had two children: Christy and Dan. Sam died February 9, 1998. She then married Joseph Warren Grammer September 26, 1998. They spent most of their married life in Harpster, ID and enjoyed their time together there.
Ila Vaye was an avid gardener, an excellent cook, and a very organized housekeeper. Her house was always spotless, everything always in its place; but her best quality is that she was a wonderful mother. She always had time for her family. When we needed her, she was there. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She served faithfully in many callings in the LDS church during her life; including the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations. Her favorite calling was that of Relief Society President. She loved the Lord with all her heart and never hesitated to share her testimony when given the opportunity. She had a way of teaching through her actions and was a wonderful example to everyone she knew. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Grammer, her children Sharilyn Aldrich (K.C.), Christy Peterson (Christopher) , and Dan Anderton, Sisters: Roene Russon (Wayne), Geneil Goodrich (Ralph) and Grandchildren: Kc Jr., Kayla, Kevin, Christian, Jack, Samantha, and Brendan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam; her son, Scott; and her brothers Karl (and Karl's wife, Eva); Keith (and Keith's wife, Joyce); Boyd (and Boyd's wife, Tess); and brother-in-law Wayne Russon.
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
