Helen Brady, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in the Beehive Assisted Living Home in Naples, Utah. She was the second child of three born to Marell Lloyd and Zeda Clayburn Brady on September 22, 1934 in Bridgeland (Midview) Utah.
From humble beginnings as a child during the Great Depression, further influenced by the untimely death of her father at the age of nine, Helen built a life defined by devotion. As an occupation she chose to serve the public, first working in the historic Provo Bakery on Center Street in Provo, then made a career out of working in the dietary department of Utah Valley Hospital, where she was honored for her service.
Helen was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and generous friend to many. Her gentle laugh, and thoughtful ways will be missed. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, travel, photography, and sports. As a passionate fan of the BYU Cougars, and Utah Jazz she spent many an afternoon or evening taking in a good game. Her home was always open to those visiting from out of town, and she, along with her mother and sister, hosted many family gatherings with delicious food, and comfortable lodging. She supported the lives of all around her, capturing with her camera the travels, memories and milestones of their lives. Those who knew her were blessed by her hospitality and service. Over the years she lived in Bridgeland, Duchesne, Provo, Orem, Roosevelt, and Naples, Utah.
Helen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marell and Zeda Clayburn Brady, brother, Leo Lloyd Brady, and sister, Lucille Brady. The family wishes to express special appreciation to Steven and Connie Clayburn for their service to Helen in her later years.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August the 7th at 11:00 AM at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, Roosevelt, Utah. A visitation will be held from 10-10:45 AM. Online viewing of the service is available via the Mortuary link under her name (above). Interment will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park, Roosevelt, Utah.
