Harold Gibson

    Harold Earle Gibson, age 85, a beloved son, husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and businessman, passed from this life on August 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of determination, kindness, hard work, and love for family and the great outdoors.
    Born May 13, 1941, in Salida, Colorado, to Orvalle and Nell Gibson, Harold grew up in Barstow, California. His adventurous and hardworking spirit took him to Moab, Utah, where he ran a Texaco station at one end of town while his brother, Ted, operated another Texaco station at the opposite end. It was in Moab that Harold met Linda Sue Arnett, whom he later married. Together they began building their family and welcomed their first two children.
    Harold and Linda eventually moved to Reno, Nevada, where their third child was born. They later built a home in Fernley, Nevada, where Harold worked for Nevada Cement. During their 13 years in Fernley, their fourth child was born, and Harold continued to establish himself as a dedicated provider and a man who could turn his talents to almost any challenge.
    In 1978, Harold and Linda moved their family to Salt Lake City. Harold began a new chapter in his career, moving from purchasing into sales. His natural ability to work with people, solve problems, and build lasting relationships would become a defining part of his professional life.
    In 1984, Harold founded Alloy Technology. For the next 43 years, he poured his energy, knowledge, determination, and many talents into building the company. What began as a business became much more than that. Through Alloy Technology, Harold developed countless business relationships and, more importantly to him, made lifelong friends. His name and reputation became associated with integrity, persistence, and a genuine willingness to help others.
    After his divorce from Linda, Harold moved himself and his company to Roosevelt, Utah, where he continued to grow Alloy Technology and make his mark in the community. 
    A few years later, Harold met Carole Monsen, who became his wife, life partner, and companion. The two were married in 2013 and shared many happy years together. Carole brought love and companionship into Harold's later years, and together they enjoyed the life they had built.
    Harold's faith was an important part of who he was. He believed in God and in the power of prayer. His faith gave him strength and perspective throughout his life, and he carried a quiet belief that prayer could bring comfort, guidance, and hope.

    Harold was a strong and determined man who possessed many talents and never shied away from hard work. He was proud of his family and cherished his role as a dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 
    Harold will be remembered for his kindness, strong will, independent spirit, and remarkable ability to make friends wherever life took him. He loved his family deeply and found joy in the great outdoors, where he could enjoy the freedom, beauty, and adventure that had always been a part of who he was.
    His life was one of perseverance, family, friendship, and accomplishment. From a small-town Texaco station in Moab to building a successful company in Roosevelt, Harold lived a life defined by determination and an ability to keep moving forward. His commitment to hard work remained with him throughout his life, working every day until his final six months on this earth.
    He leaves behind not only a family who loved him, but also friends, business associates, and countless people whose lives were touched by his generosity, humor, friendship, and strength.
    Harold Earle Gibson will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he made, the business he built, and the many lives he touched along the way.
    He is survived by his wife, Carole, her sons, Michael and Quinn; his sons, Byron and Alex; his daughters, Dlorah and Cori; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom carry a part of his legacy forward.
