Gwen Reynolds

Gwendwolyn “Gwen” Reynolds, age 84, passed away in the early morning hours of March 25, 2026 from a short term illness at her home in Mesquite, Nevada, with family by her side.

Gwen was born December 10, 1941 in Fort Duchesne, Utah, to Clyde Neilsen and Naturitch Kolb Neilsen. From a family of eight children Gwen was the fourth child.

In 1957, Gwen married Kent Stringham and they had two children, son Kyle and daughter MycoLyn. Kent and Gwen later divorced.

She married Terry Lee Reynolds on February 14, 1976. They had two sons Gabriel and Kristen. Terry passed away in 1999.

Gwen had a very strong faith. She enjoyed her life to the fullest up until a few days before she passed. Gwen loved music and dancing, rock hunting, playing board games, crossword puzzles and antiques. Gwen and Terry owned Reynolds Emporium in Roosevelt, Utah, for many years.

Gwen loved spending time with her family and friends who she loved dearly. Her smile will be missed.

Survivors include her sister Janice Hall of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother Manfred (Pat) Neilsen of Roosevelt, Utah; sister in law Diana Neilsen of McArthur, California; brother Lloyd (Lee) Neilsen of Neola, Utah; sister Becky Devener of Casper, Wyoming; son Kyle (Donna) Stringham of North Dakota; daughter MycoLyn James (Doug) of Riverton, Wyoming; son Gabe (Cassidy) Reynolds of Roosevelt, Utah; son Kris Reynolds who resided with his mother in Mesquite, Nevad; grandchildren Billy Stringham of Nevada; Kassidy Gault of Colorado; Brooklyn (Tanner) Burgess of Vernal, Utah; Baylee and Gage Reynolds of Roosevelt, Utah and we can’t forget her bestie Janet Bailey of Vernal, Utah and her dear cousin Kathy Scott of Roosevelt, Utah.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Terry Lee Reynolds (the love of her life), grandparents Donal and Ethel Kolb, parents Clyde and Naturitch Neilsen, sister LaJean (Sandy) Richman, sister Sonja (Garth) Anderton, brother Lonny Neilsen, grandson Jared Gault and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
