Glenna Hanson Huff , age 100, returned to our Father in Heaven on July 29, 2026.
She was born on June 30, 1926, to Gordon S. Hanson and Vera Mae Mohlman in a log home built by her grandfather, Ephram M. Mohlman, on a hill southwest of Roosevelt, Utah.
She married the love of her life, Gerald Alma Huff on December 21, 1946, in the St. George Temple in St. George, Utah. He died April 18, 2014
Glenna was a graduate of Logan High School in Logan, Utah. She earned degrees from Dixie College and a Masters in Education from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She served for 20 years as a teacher, and various other positions in the Uintah School District. She will be remembered for the many creative projects she brought into her classrooms and to summer camps.
During her 100 years she saw a world war, and all the conflicts that followed. She saw the first airplane to fly into the Uintah Basin, and witnessed the entire Space Age, and the development of computers. She bought the first computer in the family. She saw technology grow from pencil and paper to super computers and cell phones, and enjoyed using the internet.
Glenna found great joy in her family and in gardening and nature. Her wedding cakes are the stuff of legends. She was always willing to share her wisdom, knowledge, skills and resources with everyone. Her wisdom and counsel will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by daughters Jeneal Witbeck and Helen Henderson, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers; Keith Hanson, Ralph Hanson, and Dale Hanson, as well as one grand-daughter, Brandy Lynn Huff, and son Michael Franklin Huff.
Funeral services will be held August 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at the Altamont Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Viewings will be held at that location on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 - 10:45 AM.
Burial will be in the Altamont Cemetery next to Jerry, her beloved husband of 67 years.
