Gina Neilson, the loving wife of Stuart Neilson, passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on Sunday April 27, 2025, at the age 64.
She was born July 15, 1960, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Calvin and Lela Anderton. She married the love of her life, Stuart Neilson 45 years ago in Las Vegas, NV on July 20, 1979.
Gina was very proud to be the mother of her four beautiful girls Shallan, Melissa, Kendra and Haylee Sue (#1, #2, #3, #4) that she always told everyone "Thankfully they look like their dad but better on a girl. They were all supposed to be boys but it's a good thing the doctors could outrun Stu."
Gina was always full of warmth, laughter and had a fierce love for her family. She loved to crochet, sew, and make quilts. She ensured everyone in the family got a new Trico blanket when they were born and that the kids and grandkids always got a birthday present. She always made sure to call, text or stop by for everyone's birthday and sing the most obnoxious Happy Birthday song!
Gina was kind, giving, accepting and full of life. She had the best laugh, and she gave so much of herself to everyone she loved.
She always had to have a "pop" Coca Cola and wouldn't go anywhere without one. She loved to go bummin’ to check and visit with her family and friends daily. She loved to open her home and welcome everyone as family– she made you feel right at home. She especially loved to feed you when you visited.
She really liked to go for rides on the Harley and enjoyed many trips to Sturgis where she made friends with everyone she met. Everyone that rode behind them would laugh because all you could hear was Stuart yelling "Damnit, Gina! Hold still!"
Gina loved camping, hunting and fishing with her family doing what she called "makin’ memories". She adored being surrounded by the people she cared about the most, and that was the most important thing to her in life.
She worked as a caregiver for over 18 years for Northeastern Services helping people, which is what she truly loved to do. Everyone there held a special place in her heart. Once her girls were old enough, she stopped working so she could spend all of the time she could at the rig with dad.
Gina was an incredible loving mother, wife, sister and friend she will be truly and deeply missed.
Gina is survived by her loving husband Stuart; daughters, Shallan (Jon) Ledbetter; Melissa (Devin) Ross; Kendra (Brandon) Hackford; Haylee (Skyler) Bartlett; 11 grandbabies, Genika, Cormac, Kylar, Brogan & Dallan, Shevyia, Holdyn, Lux, Huntlee, Whitlee and JoAnna; great-grandbabies, Lynnon and Kohen; siblings, Chad Anderton; Larry (Karen) Anderton; Sue (Val) Richman; Lori Joe; Troy (Mona) Anderton; mother-in-law, Marilyn Foy; sister-in-law, Colleen (Mike) Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Lela Anderton; brother, Jay Anderton; father-in-law, Sharon Joseph Neilson; brother-in-law, Duane Neilson; nephew, Trinity Anderton; and best friends, Janet Hunter and Jana Rasmussen.
