Ema Rose Ely

Ema Rose Ely, age 16, of Roosevelt, left this Earth on June 30, 2026.

She was born on October 19, 2009, in Roosevelt, to Alec Osbourne Ely and Kasiah Ann Towe.

Ema brought joy and laughter to every room she entered. She was unapologetically herself, spontaneous, beautiful, a little wild, and above all kind and loving to everyone unconditionally. She loved every person in her life deeply until her last breath. She was independent, free spirited, passionate and driven. Ema was intelligent and had an unmatched wit that will be missed by everyone lucky enough to know her. She was always an animal lover and brought animals home with suspicious origins.

If you remember anything about Ema remember, how she made ordinary moments feel unforgettable just like her. In the end Ema just wanted everyone to push for better in the world.

Ema is survived by her parents Kasiah (Jason) Alvarado, Alec (Mandie) Ely; grandparents Lisa Ely, James Ely, Beverly Towe; sisters, Jacelyn & Kylee Sloan, Kiona Ufford, Natalie Curletto; and her best friend and brother Donavyn James Ely.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Ronnie Towe, and her infant brother, Zyler.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ballard Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and on Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.

Following the services, she will be cremated.
