Duke Arrowchis

Tracy David "Duke" Arrowchis, age 50, of Neola, passed away September 3, 2015, at his home from an apparent heart attack.
He was born April 2, 1965, in Roosevelt, to Melody Lynn Riggle and Dwight David Springer, but was adopted by Smiley Arrowchis, after Melody's and Smiley's marriage. Duke married Julie Miller and they later divorced. He married Celeste Wall, and they later divorced. He married Francine Christensen on May 10, 2010, in Meeker, Colorado. She died November 1, 2010.
Duke was an extremely hard worker as a heavy equipment operator for Burdick Paving for almost 30 years, and also Mitchell Construction. He helped on the family cattle ranch and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding his ATV's and being in the outdoors. He also liked art and tried his hand at a few projects involving welding spare parts to create animal sculptures.
He loved his grandchildren, teaching them to terrorize everyone, just like he did to his brothers and sisters, whom he adored. He will be greatly missed.
Duke is survived by his children, Codey (Mandy) Arrowchis, Roosevelt; Shantele (Joe) Cristofferson, Vernal; Harley (Amanda) Arrowchis, Myton; grandchildren, Alexandria Arrowchis, Harley Joe Cristofferson; Breanna, Shyann, Thayne, & Kinnlee Arrowchis; father, Smiley Arrowchis, Neola; brothers and sisters, Robin (Jack) Meeks, Mountain View, WY; Minda (Shannon) Albright, Fruita, CO; Dana Springer; Rory Springer, Suesett Willer, Krisy (Lance) Simmons; nephews and nieces, Alec Albright; Marissa Arrowchis; Scott, Abbie, & McKenzie Meeks.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francine; mother, Melody Arrowchis; brother, Justin Arrowchis; father, Dwight Springer; niece, Chalisa Arrowchis.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Hullinger Mortuary with cremation to follow.
