Dorene Murdock

Dorene Freston Murdock, age 63, formerly of Roosevelt, passed away November 25, 2018 in Oak Harbor, Washington.
Dorene was born on December 11, 1954 in Roosevelt to Samuel Wendell and Leola Mitchell Freston.  She married Melvin Glen Murdock in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 9, 1973.
Dorene was born and raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she later moved to Idaho Falls.  She loved spending time with her family of 3 boys and one little girl, whom she desperately wanted to be a girly-girl.  Her hobbies included watching movies, especially the classics and musicals, traveling with her family and maintaining a spotless and organized home for family and friends to visit.  She was not one for the outdoors, unless it included room service and all the amenities.  She will always be remembered for her abilities to offer compassion to those in need and advice to those who listened.  She always offered a warm smile that could light up the world.  We are happy that she is now with her Father in Heaven, smiling, laughing and at peace.
She is survived by husband, Melvin Murdock, children, Melvin Glen (Ashley) Murdock, II; Michael Greg (Stephanie) Murdock; Matthew Gene (Erin) Murdock; Marci Gail (Casey) Radford; 10 grandchildren; siblings, James Wendell (Diane) Freston, Wendy Lee (Brownie) Tomlinson, Edward Dorrant (Tammy) Freston, and Rainy Riding.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt East Stake Center.  Viewings will be held on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and Friday at the church from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
