Doralda Brokaw

Doralda Ellen Winn Brokaw, age 79, of Roosevelt, passed away November 5, 2015.
She was born November 29, 1935 in Independence, Uintah County to Charles Alonzo and Esther Ellen Bryant Winn.
Doralda married Donnell George Brokaw August 29, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 1, 2014.
Doralda enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, yard work and loved flowers. She was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings, including a Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir, wrote the ward newsletter and Sunday programs, and a counselor in the Relief Society. She and Donnell traveled to the Provo temple often to do proxy sealings. Recently while at the Villa, she was called as the compassionate service director and could be found often cruising the Center in her motorized chair visiting, friend-shipping, and generally spreading good cheer with the other residents.
A favorite saying was "A stranger is a friend I have yet to meet."
Doralda is survived by children, Sherrie Brokaw, Roosevelt; Shawna (Clay) Thompson, Pullman, Washington; Larry D (Linda) Brokaw, Rock Springs, Wyoming; 4 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don, daughter Pam, and six brothers and sisters Ralph Winn, Ella Dean, Emma Lundberg, Charles Winn, Earl Winn, and Lurrine Sorensen.
Funeral services held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Roosevelt LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 250 West 200 North, where friends and family may call from 10-10:45 AM.
Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
The family extends a special thanks to the Villa-their staff and administration have been so kind and caring.
