Deon Bird

Deon Bird, age 94, of Roosevelt, passed away on July 18, 2026 at the Sr. Villa in Roosevelt. 

Deon Was born May 3, 1932 in Arcadia, Utah to Charlie and Elsie Marie Solomonson Bird. Deon loved spending time with her family and cherished all of them with her whole heart. She especially delighted in her grandchildren. She fostered many children through the years and made a difference in their lives.

Deon enjoyed visiting and getting to know people. In younger years she like doing ceramic projects, sewing and crafts. She was the co-owner of Mode-Day, clothing store for years. 

She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in several positions through the years. 

She is survived by her children, Victina Gardner, Robert Chester Bird; grandchildren, Charlie, Alona, Hunter, Donicia, Niyha, Marley, special nephew, Ronnie Curry, and numerous niece, nephews and cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Elsie; siblings, Chester, Melvin, & Leland Bird, Delaine Bird, Mildred Rogers, Lurrine Duncan; and grandson, Kalub Ray Brock. 

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Hullinger Mortuary from 11:00 - 11:45 AM. 

Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park at 12:00 PM.
