Lila Denese Rogers Farnsworth, age 79, of Gusher, Utah, passed away on August 3, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Vernal, Utah.

Denese was born March 26, 1946, in Vernal, Utah, to Ivan and Mary Afton Jensen Rogers. She married Valden Ward Farnsworth on December 8, 1974 in Ballard, Utah. He died April 22, 2014.

Denese was a social butterfly, she knew everyone and was also a friend to all. She was known for her kindness, willingness to help others, and her fun gift for gab. She worked as a substitute teacher for years and was also a hair dresser at her beauty salon in Ballard. She adopted many children through the years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and delighted in being with all of her extended family. She loved cross stitching, crocheting, sewing and embroidery.

She is survived by her children, RaJette (John) Fillingim, RaGenia (Travis) Roberts, Ramey Atkins, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchild and a sister Judy Ann Hogan Moon.

She is reunited with her sweetheart, Valden Ward Farnsworth, and several special angels in heaven.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ballard Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a viewing from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.

Burial will be in the Gusher Cemetery.
