Delphine Mae James

    Delphine Mae James, age 54, of Ft. Duchesne, passed away October 28, 2018 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.  
    Delphine was born January 27, 1964 in Whiteriver, Arizona to Valentino Sr., and Floydina June Grant James and was raised by Ramone Appawora.
    Delphine enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, baking desserts, doing crafts, and spending time in the mountains.  She loved family time and looked forward to holidays because of the extra time she would have with her family.  She worked as a certified nursing assistant and loved her patients.  Her family meant the world to her.  She liked to attend Comic-Con and make costumes for her cosplay.  She attended the Bear Dance and Pow Wows and enjoyed making all of the regalia for them.
    Delphine is survived by her children, Perlita (Jeffory) Murray, Ft. Duchesne; Cresencio Grant, South Salt Lake; Jesse Anthony Saenz, Gunnison; Elaina (Francisco) Rosas, Donciana Checora, all of Ft. Duchesne; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Delaine (Jack) Sixkiller, Valentino James, all of Ft. Duchesne; Carma (Elvis) Lavender, Arizona; Terry Martinez, Ft. Duchesne; Marlo (Chris) Riveras, California; Bobbie Appawora, Vernal; Brian James and Loren James, both of Arizona and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Floyd James.
    Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery.  A wake will be held at her home after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
