David N Arnold

David N Arnold, age 78, of South Jordan, formerly of Roosevelt, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long-fought illness on July 26, 2018 in Salt Lake City.
He was born October 11, 1939 in South Jordan, to Stanley K and Annetta Newbold Arnold. He met and later married the love of his life Janet Gutke on November 14, 1959 in Millad, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple on November 13, 2010. Together they had 7 children, spending time in Roosevelt and later moving back to South Jordan.
David was proud of driving over one million miles and visiting 48 states and 3 provinces of Canada over his 21 years as a truck driver. His passions included horseback riding, hunting, reading biographies and the scriptures, crossword puzzles and playing card games with his family. He was an avid sports lover, watching the Jazz, coaching baseball and playing in church ball. He was a member of the LDS Church and loved the time spent with ward members; always making people feel welcomed and never leaving without telling them a story or giving them a nick name.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet "Janie"; his "Magnificent 7" children, Todd (Debby), Kelly (B.J.) Braithwaite, Kathy (Kenny) Willis, Joe (Wendy), Charlie (Shalene), Justin (Doni), KaeCee (Dean) Kingsley; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Mary Arnold and his dog, Clementine.
