Daniel Shavanaux

Daniel James Shavanaux, age 36, of Roosevelt, passed away September 25, 2015.
Born August 30, 1979, in Roosevelt, to Danny Kay Shavanaux and Ellen Marie Genereaux Serawop. Married Lillian Victoria Marquez on August 9, 2012, in Ft. Duchesne.
Daniel was always willing to help anyone in need. His greatest joy in life was his family. He loved his wife and would brag to anyone who would listen about how beautiful of a person she was; he was so proud to be her husband. He adored his boys and did everything with them, enjoying especially watching them play in their various sports. He was an avid outdoors man, fishing, camping, and hiking. He was a Sundancer and believed in his traditional ways. He really liked Grass Dancing, competing when he was younger, and as an adult he would bust out moves with his boys anytime, anywhere. He was a really great father and any boy would have been lucky to have him as their dad. He did all he could to put a smile on his children's faces.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Lillian; children, Coby Marquez, Coney & Benjamin Shavanaux,; step-father, Dillon Serawop, Sr., brothers and sisters, Adam (Charlotte) Shavanaux, Elijah Shavanaux (Barblene Reed), Austin & Rodell Shavanaux, Amanda (Reggie Jr.) Jenks, Rachell Serawop (Ryan Poowegup), Guthrie Serawop (Cheryl Gardner), Dillon Serawop, Jr, Wayland Serawop, Dalena Serawop (George Taveapont), Corey (Lauren) Serawop, Stephanie Serawop, Dottie Serawop, mother-in-law, Lilly Marquez, He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brothers, Lance & Bruce Shavanaux, and Keith Nez.
Funeral services held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., at the Randlett Episcopal Church.
Burial will be in the Randlett Cemetery .
