Curtis Ray Weidner, 65, of Fort Duchesne, Utah, passed away on September 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born on November 27, 1959, in Morocco, Africa, to Gloria Lewis and Clarence Weidner.
Curtis lived life to the fullest and had a passion for the outdoors and adventure. He loved water sports of all kinds - skiing, tubing, and more - as well as mountain adventures like backpacking and skiing. He found joy in hunting, camping, chopping wood, golfing, bowling, rollerblading, ice skating, go-kart racing, and the thrill of rollercoasters. Loud rock 'n' roll was the soundtrack to his many adventures.
Beyond his love of excitement, Curtis cherished the simple joys of life. He had a soft spot for honey baked ham, Denny's pancakes, root beer, and foraging wild asparagus. He enjoyed animal watching and found peace in tending plants with his green thumb. He also loved baking with his granddaughters, most often whipping up chocolate chip cookies or divinity, making memories that will be cherished forever. Known for being able to fix anything, he poured that same energy and creativity into his businesses, “Ride-Away Taxi” and “Rent-A-Man Handyman”, where he built connections across the community and was always willing to lend a hand.
His boisterous laugh was unforgettable - most people could recognize Curtis by it alone. Within minutes of entering a room, his humor and quick wit filled the space. A natural storyteller, he loved talking with family and friends about anything and everything, and he never forgot a family member's birthday.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Gloria Lewis; his sister, Lisa Bonner; his longtime partner, Marti Hostetter; his son, Monaco Weidner (Mary); his daughter, Christal Denver (Felix); and his five grandchildren, Natawnee Weidner, R'eahnee Weidner, Tyrell Denver, Tristan Denver, and Jose Garcia-all of whom brought him endless joy.
He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his quick wit, his thoughtful heart, and most of all, his legacy of laughter. The sound of his laugh and the love he shared will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
As per his wishes, Curtis will be cremated and no services will be held.
