Cory L. Edrington, age 62, of Arcadia, Utah, passed away on October 24, 2024, at Intermountain HealthCare in Murray, Utah.

He was born on October 9, 1962, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Raymond Edrington and Rebecca Hackford (Murray). As a child, Cory loved the outdoors—riding his pony and horses, hunting with his uncles, fishing, hiking, taking his younger sisters swimming, or working in the timber with his Grandpa Elmer Hackford.

Cory married Lou Ann Murray in June 1982; they later divorced. He married Connie Boesche in April 1990, having three children, the pride of his life. They later divorced. He then married Cindy Cossette May 2003, and they later divorced.

He worked in timber on weekends throughout high school before moving into the oil and gas industry. He worked various jobs in the oil field, including contracted work, and even started his own business. He had a knack for mechanics—whether it was a vehicle, chainsaw, or marine motor, Cory could get it running. He was a great handyman; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix.

Cory loved being surrounded by family and friends who became like family. He never met a stranger and would often strike up a conversation as though he were catching up with a lifelong friend. He never outgrew his love for the outdoors. He always had something planned—whether fishing, going to the lake, camping, or just going for a drive with no set destination while telling stories and cracking jokes. With his bright smile, twinkling eyes, witty and playful personality, and amazing laugh, it’s no wonder that if there was fun to be had, Cory was usually the center of it, breathing life into even the most mundane situations. He will be greatly missed.

He was a mountain trapped in a man, his strength and endurance guided him throughout his life. He always carried his children near to his heart, and it was the 4C's against the world.~We love you more than a thousand Swedish Fish~

Cory is survived by his mother, Rebecca Murray; his son, Cache (Justine) Edrington; daughters, Crisa (EJ) White and Corinne (Brandon) Gale; grandchildren, Cachelyn, Braxton, Xavius, Ashton, Brilee, Ellie, Olivia, and Kyrah; Companion Mandy Blake; siblings, Lew (Pauline) Hackford (Edrington), Kyle (Kim) Edrington, Dorothy Raeleen (Galen) Ross, and Laurie Bereece; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruel (Bernice) Edrington, Elmer (Wanda) Hackford; his father and step-mom, Raymond (Jennie) Edrington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial with Luncheon will be held at The Grace Center, 1024 U.S. 40, Roosevelt UT 84066. Thursday, November 21, 2024 @ 11:00-1:00.
