Cody Jones

Cody Lynn Jones, age 55, passed away on May 20, 2025, in Roosevelt, Utah.

He was born December 10, 1969, in Granger, Utah, to Thayde & Carol Porter Jones.

Raised in East Carbon, Utah, Cody was a kind-hearted, spirited soul who lived boldly and loved deeply. He made an impression wherever he went: big-hearted, loud, and never afraid to speak his mind.

Cody had a passion for music and a creative streak that touched many forms of art. He shared a playful spirit with children, often teasing and joking with them, and had a unique gift for making people feel seen and loved. He cherished time spent cooking with his mother and had a lifelong love for animals – catching lizards, snakes, frogs, and befriending just about any creature he came across.

Cody is survived by his four children: Kyla Lynn Jones of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Kade Jones and Kati Jones, both of Price, Utah; and Tylee Lynn Jones of Roosevelt, Utah. Cody was a proud grandfather to Dylann Valdes, RaeLynn Valencia, Azaleah Valencia, and Klara Jean Mariana Barker. He also leaves behind his brother, Ward (Lisa) Jones of Clawson, Utah; and his sister, Corrina (Hank) Mitchell of Roosevelt, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thayde and Carol Jones; his sister, Shelley Gault; his grandparents; and many other loved ones. Cody is now reunited with those who went before him, welcomed with love and open arms.

Per his wishes, he was cremated and no formal services will be held. Cody's bold spirit, loud laughter, and deep love will live on in the memories of those who knew and cherished him.
