    Clora Mae Hackford Whitehead, age 89, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, auntie, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Clora's life was one filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for music, family and friends.
    Born on January 15, 1934, to George and Sarah Hackford, Clora lived a life defined by her warm and inviting nature. She welcomed friends and family into her home with open arms, always ready to share a cup of coffee and engage in heartfelt conversations. Her hospitality was unmatched, her door was always open and her home was a gathering place for countless cherished memories.
    Music was in Clora’s heart, and her home was filled with the joyous sounds of piano, guitars, drumming and voices harmonizing in unison. She and her brother Mark shared this passion, performing together in a band.
    Throughout her life, Clora held various state jobs, affording her the opportunity to travel to different places. She liked to spend time in Wendover whenever she could. Her travels allowed her to connect with people and create memories.
    Clora is survived by her sister, Calva LeBaron and her children: Arlisa Pope (Mark), Carlos Iorg (Tina), and Arlo Iorg (Sonja). Additionally, she is survived by her stepchildren: Frederick Whitehead, Laura Davenport, Gary Whitehead, and Steve Whitehead. Her legacy extends to 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, each touched by her unconditional love and support.
    Clora is preceded in death by her husband, F. F. "Sonny" Whitehead, as well as her grandchildren, Marquita and Boone. She joins her dear siblings Alfonzo Van “Doc”, Selma, George, Elizabeth, Edvirda, Elmer, Calvin, Mark, Richard “Dick”, Clifton, Idessa and Verna, who have gone before her.
    The loss of Clora Mae Hackford Whitehead is deeply felt by her family and friends she so lovingly embraced. She will be greatly missed. May her spirit continue to resonate in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched, reminding us to cherish one another and celebrate the joy of music, love and togetherness.
    A wake will be held at her home on Sunday after 4:00.p.m.  on Sunday June 25, 2023.   Following the wake she will be cremated.
