Clara Betts Huxford

Clara Jean Betts Huxford, age 86, of Ballard, Utah, passed away on August 23, 2026, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
    She was born May 31, 1940, in Roosevelt, to Louis Clarence and Caroline Clisha Hill Betts.  She married Terry Farrell Huxford on September 30, 1960, in Roosevelt.  He died September 9, 2015.  
    Clara was a hardworking woman who spent much of her life serving others. She owned and operated Ben Franklin in Roosevelt and also worked as a baker and school lunch lady.  She was always on the go and enjoyed camping, water skiing, shopping, playing the lottery, gambling, and trips to Wendover. She loved playing card games and Yahtzee and sharing a glass of wine with friends. She also had a memorable collection of spatulas and enjoyed cooking and keeping a clean home.
    Above all, Clara loved caring for her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. She had many friends and was known for staying busy and helping wherever she could. She attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and often helped prepare and serve food for funeral dinners.
    Clara is survived by her children, Wade Huxford, Ballard; Mauna Warren, Roosevelt; grandchildren, Angie (Doug) Koyle, Tierra Warren, Gregory (Sandi) Warren, Bradi (Jared) O’Driscoll, Josh Richman, Wyatt Huxford, Makayla (Bryce) Hofman; great-grandchildren, Talyne, Drayden, Lainey, Salisha, Brantlee, Murdock, Daniel, Wyatt,  Korbin; a brother, Kenneth (Sylvia) Betts, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry; and her nine siblings, Ellen Milligan, Fern Milligan, Lucielle Haws, Glenna Murray, Ralph, Ray, Dean, Leonard, and Glen Betts.
      Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hullinger Mortuary.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:45 AM.  
    Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
