Chris Lee Hardinger

Christine Lee “Chris” Hardinger, age 52, of Vernal, passed away November 16, 2018, at the Ashley Valley Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 10, 1966, in Roosevelt, to George and Pat Roderick Starkey.  After being together for 17 years, she married Tony Ray Hardinger on September 1, 2016, in Vernal.
Chris was a great wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family.  She was a free spirit, liked to listen to loud music, go camping, spend as much time in the sun and the outdoors as possible, and was a famously good cook.  Her home was open to all and she never met a stranger.  She lived and played hard, making it seem that she had lived many lives in her relatively short life span.  Her strength and love kept her family together.
Chris is survived by her husband, Tony; children, Jennifer Marie Hardinger, Melissa Lynn Hardinger (Rich Antonson), all of Vernal; Jacob Wayne Ross (Cody Thiriot), Cedar City; Jessica Nicole Ross (Chance Crowley), Vernal; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Patty (Terry) Summarell, Vernal; Joeseph Starkey, Vernal; George Starkey, Salt Lake City; Alice Starkey, Vernal; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael & Tommy Starkey; parents, George & Pat; good friends, Christy & Brenda Woodard, and Marva Stewart.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary with a viewing on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1-1:45 p.m.
Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery.
