Charles William Springer, age 91, of Roosevelt, died at his home on November 8, 2025.
Charles was born on October 3, 1934, in Lapoint, Utah, to Roy Joseph and Adeline Davis Springer. While growing up in the 1930s and 40s, Charles learned to work hard by helping notable farmers and ranchers. It was something he always enjoyed doing.
He married Mary Jane Kelsey on April 14, 1953. They were sealed in the Vernal Utah Temple when Charles was 88 years old.
They moved from the Uintah Basin in 1954, and Charles worked for Mountain Bell as a instillation supervisor. He retired in 1982, and they later returned back to the Basin.
Charles loved the Uinta Mountains and spent as much time there as he could. He liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed horses and loved to ride. He loved to camp with his brothers and missed them very much after their passings. Charles also liked to drive semi trucks and drove for various friends anytime he could.
Charles was always there to help his neighbors, people in his church, and almost anyone that came along
Family was his most important thing, he loved his childhood, spending time with his brothers and parents, then getting his own family and passing that family tradition on to spending quality time with those he loved.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary, his sons, Steven (Daphne) Springer, Mark (Terri) Springer, and Charles Springer; sisters, Carol Felter and Rolleen (Daniel) Bird.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sherry Springer, son, Phillip Springer, his siblings, Lela Springer, Ida Anderton, Dwight Springer, Loretta Springer, Roy “Shorty” Springer, and Merle Anderton Powell.
