Cathy Lee Wallberg, age 59, of Ballard, passed away September 14, 2018, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
She was born June 21, 1959, in Roosevelt, to Albert James and Catherine Bowden Atwood.
Cathy was a hard worker all of her life and was a flagger and heavy equipment operator for road construction. She enjoyed working in her garden, fishing, camping, being outdoors, making blankets, crocheting, and tinkering – especially with car mechanics. She always looked for the good deals and was an avid “yardsaler”. She had a rambling soul, was very independent, giving, & strong, and lived life to the fullest.
She loved her kids, grandkids, and her five poodles.
Cathy is survived by her companion of 27 years, Larry Tanner, Ballard; her children, Tracy (Philip) Winterton, Jared Wallberg (Jeri Carter), both of Roosevelt; Teresa Zemke (Jared Castneda), Burley, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Debbie Atwood, Allen Atwood, Tammy Evans, Patsy Patry, Sharon Farmer, Larry Wilkerson, Sherrie Dahl, Cody Wilkerson, Gaye Leah Cross, Joyce Heagney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Albert & Ronald Atwood.
A viewing will be held at the Hullinger Mortuary on Monday, September 17, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. and afterwards she will be cremated. A graveside service to bury the cremated remains will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
