Brent Owen Hansen

    Brent Owen Hansen, age 59, of Neola, passed away May 18, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
    He was born August 2, 1965, in Santa Clara, California, to Bert Ferron and Phyllis Kay Wright Hansen.  
    He served in the US Airforce during Desert Storm and was stationed in the U.S.
    Brent married Zella Spangler on July 4, 2008, in Roosevelt.
    He worked as a real estate appraiser for many years and then as a respiratory therapist.  He loved his family, especially his children, dearly!  He was intelligent, always honest, and kept his word – if he said he’d do it, it’d get done!
    Brent had a passion for horses, 4-wheeling in the mountains with his brothers, and just being in nature...he preferred to not be with people.  
    Before he passed, he was able to complete the work on the family’s 1970 Ford F250 Camper and get it up and running.  This had been on his bucket list for years.  Also in the last few years, he built his dream home in Neola where he was able to live out his days.
    He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He had a special bond with his father and looked forward to seeing him again.  
    Brent is survived by his wife, Zella, of Neola; his children, Cherelle (Miheer) Vaidya, Boston; Scott Howard, Gaithersburg, Maryland; Greyson Howard, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Katie Howard (Rodrigo Guillen), Seattle, Washington; Rachel (Faustino) Ybarro, Neola; Paige Hansen (Charles Bush), Sacramento, California; Justin Hansen (Jose Andrade), Folsom, California; grandchildren, Scarlett, Malcom, Jairo, Montgomery, Colette, Amelia, Alex; mother, Phyllis Hansen, Roosevelt; siblings, Tamra (Gary) Morris, Grand Junction, Colorado; Bert (Joy) Hansen, Hanford, California; Julie (Nelson) Gonzales, Alpine; Bryan Hansen, Neola; Carrie (Chris) Williams, Tucson, Arizona; Melanie (David) Hickey, San Clemente, California; Benjamin (Jackie) Hansen, Tridell; and his beloved dogs, “Baby”, “Miley”, “Samson.”
    He was preceded in death by his father, Ferron; and his pets, “Lady” & “A-rod.”
    Per his wishes, he was cremated.
