Our beautiful son Brenden Thomas Hicken unexpectedly passed away on October 23, 2023, in his home in Lehi.

He was born June 28, 1999, in Roosevelt Utah. He left behind his loving family, His father Shane Dee Hicken and his mother Tiffany Ann Taylor, stepfather David Taylor and all of his siblings Brock Riley, Beau Hicken, Braxton Hicken and sisters Lucki Riley, along with his step siblings Wyatt Taylor, Bryson Taylor, Kaylee Taylor, Megan Taylor, Hadlee Taylor and Michael Taylor. He cherished each and every one of them. His family meant everything to him, and always brought a smile to everyone’s face.

Brenden grew up in Roosevelt Utah, he grew up hunting, fishing riding his dirt bike and shooting with his brothers. He loved the outdoors, and any adventures he and his brothers and dad came up with. Brenden loved his grandparents Dorothy and Gerald Hicken. He spent many days with his grandpa on the farm feeding cattle.  As he grew up, he had a love for making music, playing his guitar and mixing music. That was his passion. Brenden loved gaming with all of brothers and cousins.

Brenden moved to Lehi, Utah 7 Months ago and started a new life. He had many challenges and hurdles, but he pushed through and always smiled. He was so grateful for the smallest things in life, he was so humble and kind and was willing to help with anything. He started to work for Alan Taylor in masonry, it was extremely hard work but every day he got up and was so happy to head to work with all his coworker’s he loved.

Brenden never complained about anything and could always see the good in any situation. He was the most humble and grateful son anyone could ask for with a heart of gold, He loved with everything he had, He was such a beautiful soul. His heart was so big and so perfect that God needed to have him home for a very special mission and purpose.  We are so grateful that he is with and met by his grandfather Gerald Hicken and his aunt Amber Riley.  We know they are all holding him tight, taking care of him and giving him all the love, he deserves.  We all hold a very special place in our heart for him forever and always.

Brenden will be so missed by everyone that knew him; Heaven gained such a perfect beautiful angel. We all cannot wait until we can see him again.

We love you Brenden.
