Bradford Wells Baum, age 89, of Duchesne, passed away December 15, 2022, at  Bobby and Teresa Baum’s home. 
    He was born June 8, 1933, in Fruitland, Utah, to David & Hazel Sweat Baum.  He had two spouses and raised a total of twelve children together.
    He worked at Deseret Livestock, in Woodruff, Utah, for six years. Then he moved back to the Uintah Basin where he was appointed the Duchesne City Constable, and also a Federal Marshall. After his service as an officer he became an electrician for 53 years working in construction and the oil field with his son, Bobby Baum.
    His favorite horse was “Cyclops” and his dog was “Brutus” in his earlier years. He loved all kinds of animals, but he gained his best friend the day he got his dog named “Pup.” He was by his side for 11 years until Pup passed.
    Brad was known and loved by many in the Basin for his kindness, charity, and love for anyone and everyone.
    Bradford is survived by his children, Bobby & Teresa Baum, Duchesne; Lloyd (Cindy) Baum, Roosevelt; Juvon Hardman, Herriman; Jeff (Shelly) Fabrizio; Troy (Krystal) Fabrizio; Jason (Cheryl) Fabrizio, all of Hanna; Tina Giles, Herriman; Janeen Cattoor, Vernal; Tonya (Neil) Tolley, West Valley City; 25 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren; three sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by two of his children, Gary & Lorie Baum; parents, David & Hazel Sweat Baum; grandsons, Charlie & Kaleb Fabrizio; and 16 siblings.
    Per his wishes he was cremated and a graveside service will be held January 14, 2023, at the Strawberry Cemetery from 12:00 - 1:30 PM. Troy Fabrizio, son, will be dedicating the grave. Following the service a lite lunch will be provided by the Duchesne 4th Ward at the Duchesne Stake Center for immediate family.
    The family would like to thank the amazing nurses at Canyon Hospice for the excellent care they took in caring for our dad, and the Duchesne 4th Ward Relief Society for their compassionate service and care. Thank you to everyone for the condolences and well wishes during this difficult time.
