    Bonnie Lue Hackford, age 86, of Lapoint, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, kindness, and devotion to those she cherished most.
    Bonnie was born on September 22, 1939, in Vernal, Utah, to Archie and Rose (Holmes) Richardson. She was 1 of 7 children, with 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She and her twin brother, Bobby Lee, shared a special bond from the very beginning, with Bonnie proudly reminding Bobby throughout their lives that she was born first. She was raised in the Davis Ward alongside her brothers and sisters during a time when life was simple, neighbors were family, and hard work shaped strong character.
    While working at Betty's Café, Bonnie met the love of her life, the handsome Mark Hackford. They were married on March 12, 1960, at her parents' home. They soon made their home in Lapoint, Utah, where Bonnie became a beloved member of the Hackford family, loving them as deeply as her own. The annual Hackford family reunions became treasured traditions that she looked forward to every year-including this past year.
    Mark was Bonnie's king, and she was truly his queen. Whenever Mark played music with his band at local dances and gatherings, Bonnie was always by his side. She was a classy lady who never left the house without looking her best, her hair always perfectly done. Mark often said he wouldn't play unless Bonnie could be there with him.
    Together they built a beautiful family, welcoming eight children while also enduring the heartbreaking loss of their baby son, Bradley, at birth. Bonnie poured her heart into raising her family. Every morning she made breakfast before the children left for school, and every evening she prepared dinner that everyone shared together around the table.
    There was one word that could instantly bring out Mom's stern side - the "F" word - and every one of us knew better than to say it around her. Whenever Dad worked out of town, Mom gathered all of her "little chicks" into her room to sleep, whether on the floor or beside her in bed. She made each of us feel safe, protected, and deeply loved.
    As her children grew up and left the nest, Bonnie found it difficult to let them go. Thankfully, her grandchildren soon filled that space in her heart. They became her world, and she lovingly helped raise several of them over the years. Nothing brought her greater happiness than having her family close.
    On October 1, 2018, Bonnie lost the love of her life when Mark passed away after 58 years of marriage. Her world changed forever, and although she carried on with grace and strength, a part of her heart left with him.
    Bonnie found joy in the simple things. She loved working in her flower beds, caring for her yard, and making sure her hummingbird feeders were always full. She could spend hours watching the hummingbirds come and go. Although she insisted she didn't like cats, she somehow ended up feeding every stray in the neighborhood. They all seemed to know exactly where to find a warm meal.
    She loved horses and spent many years proudly watching her daughter Kathy and her grandchildren barrel race. She looked forward to every race and often shared stories of riding horses herself when she was young.
    On quiet afternoons, Bonnie could often be found with a cup of coffee, a word search book, or a romance novel. But above everything else, she loved opening her home to family and friends. Her door was always open, and everyone knew they were welcome. She wanted every one of us to know we were loved-and we did.
    Bonnie is survived by her sister, Carol Richardson (Fred), of Myton, Utah; her children, Rick Hackford, of West Valley City, Utah; Kathy (Doyle) Clark, of Gusher, Utah; Lana (Corey) Murdock, of Fort Duchesne, Utah; Alan (Lisa) Hackford, of Lapoint, Utah; and Linda Hackford, of Lapoint, Utah; 17 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
    She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Mark Hackford; her sons, Mark C. Hackford, Joseph S. Hackford, and baby, Bradley Hackford; her grandchildren, Erica Richins and Michael Arrowchis Jr.; her great-granddaughter, Jakoya Kimball; and her son-in-law, William E. Whitehead. All of her other siblings, parents, and in-laws.
    Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to our youngest sister, Linda, who devoted the last four and a half years of her life to caring for our beautiful mother with endless love, patience, and compassion. Because of you, Mom was able to remain surrounded by the comfort of family in her own home.
    We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible home health and hospice teams. Deb, Ashlee, and all of the caregivers who helped Mom, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and the dignity you gave her during her final journey. We will forever be grateful.
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Hullinger Mortuary.  A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
    Burial will be in the Tridell Cemetery.
