Billy Joseph Cuch

    Billy Joseph Cuch, age 40 of Roosevelt, passed away June 24, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 1, 1978 in Ely, Nevada, to Irwin Eugene Cuch and Irene Steele.
    Bill worked as a carpenter in construction. He was a fun-loving person that enjoyed life. He was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, playing games with the
nephews, western dancing, and playing handgame. He was a Sundancer and a member of the Native American Church. He was very spiritual and read the Bible, his faith in God was strong. He was very empathetic and compassionate to everyone especially children and would help anyone. He had a gentle soul, especially when he was working with horses, he was a horse whisperer and had an uncanny ability to calm down even the most unruly of horses – they sensed his gentle nature. He will be missed deeply by the "Hogan Gang" and by his friends and family. He loved his family and had a great respect for Elders. He will forever be remembered for living life to the fullest.   
    Bill is survived by his parents Irene and William Thompson; sisters Roxanne James (Carlos), DeShawn Undergust (Orlando), Loretta Steele (Lambert), Natasha Allison, Savannah Thompson (Travis), Amanda Hill (Brian); brothers, Darwin Cuch (Mitzi), Ty Thompson; grandmothers, Ina Jane Nephi, Lorena Atwine; nephews, Edmund Ridesatthedoor, Dominick Jesus (Gracie), Andrew James (Mikayla), Evander Cuch, Hunter Cuch, Cody Chee; nieces, Keree Cuch, Taylor Vijil, Santana Cuch, Summer Rain and Winter Ann James, Jaecee Chee; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives; uncles, Chester Steele, Francisco Steele,  Ira Cuch; aunts,  Ruby Ridesatthedoor, Helen Steele (Amos), Evangeline "Deb" Atencio, Iris Littlegeorge; Respected Elders, Roberta John and Joann Wash.
    He was preceded in death by his father Irwin Cuch; grandparents, Charlie Cuch Jr., Betty Atwine, Jim Steele, Leota Steele and best friend Conan Bishop.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Whiterocks Community Building.   Interment at Waterfalls Cemetery. Traditional Wake will be held at his sister Roxanne James' home Wednesday and Thursday evening.
