Betty Lou Larsen Davis, of Ballard, passed away just eighteen days before her 97th birthday on December 2, 2025, at her home with loved ones by her side.
She was born December 21, 1928, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Alma & Helen Wall Larsen. She was the oldest of three children.
Betty married Kenneth W Davis on April 21, 1946, in Winnemucca, Nevada. Together they raised four sons, Kenny, Mike, Terry, & Randy. They were her world!
In her younger years, Betty worked at the Dairy Freez, the True Blue Café, and as an usher at the Roosevelt Theater. For seventeen years, she worked in the lunch service at Union High School. In her later years, she was a foster-grandma at East Elementary for eleven years.
Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On July 30, 1963, she and Ken, along with their sons were sealed as a family for time & eternity. She had many callings: visiting teacher for 73 years, Relief Society Coordinator, Cub Scout Leader, and the MIA attendance secretary. She taught Sunday School and Primary for over 30 years! After Kenneth passed, she served as an Ordinance Worker in the Vernal Temple. She loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with every fiber of her being! Her testimony was strong, steadfast, and unshakable.
Betty is survived by her sons, Kenneth Davis; Michael (Glenda) Davis, both of Roosevelt; Randy (Kelly) Davis, Huntsville, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her son, Terry; grandson, Celso Davis; great-grandson, Daniel Davis; her parents; and her sisters, Corrine McKnight & Patty Gunville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lapoint Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There will be a viewing that morning at the church from 10-10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
