Benno & Megan Penna

Benno and Megan Penna, ages 32, of Ballard, ….the sunshines of our lives, the apples of our eyes were so loved by so many people for their kindness, compassion, generosity and love for all.  Most of all they were loved by Jehovah God whom they tried to imitate by always searching for the good in others.  Their hearts were tremendously big and kind.  We cannot imagine going on without them.  Megan’s contagious laughter and energy permeated our souls, Benno’s sweet, tender, loving heart melted all who knew him.
Benno was always adventurous from birth, growing up with many cousins and one in particular “partner in crime” you know who you are. Benno loved every creation of Jehovah’s, especially animals.  He loved being a caregiver to his beloved Dad, Nick, until his death and always his mothers heart and support, her right hand man. He loved caring for his beautiful family. He was an amazing father to his babies –  they always were in the comfort of his big strong arms and he loved them dearly.  I can still see him combing his Scarlett’s hair tenderly.  Benno was the calmest “can do” man  and nothing seemed impossible for him.  His tender heart and care made the world right for his family. He was an accomplished pilot, welder, truck mechanic, hot oil business owner, and welding artist.  His huge heart and mind would embrace and help anyone he could which he stepped in for his family many times to help in time of need.   He was simply amazing!
Our beautiful vivacious Megan was born “simply amazing”, there was nothing she could not do and accomplish, a beautiful horsewoman, artist, astute business woman, loving mother and her children were the apple of her eye and they knew it. And she had the biggest, kindest heart.  Megan had a fire in her heart that could not be put out which she infused any that got close.  She was so talented, beautiful inside and out, fun, outspoken and funny and so generous to all.  She, too, could seemingly accomplish the impossible.
When Benno met Megan, he was smitten and together they became an unstoppable team, supporting and loving each other, living a beautiful life with their precious babies.           To their children they were larger than life itself and life will never be the same without their heroes.  But Benno and Megan taught them well to love Jehovah and about the hope He gives when He makes “all things new” and “wipes away the tears from our faces” when He resurrects the dead to a life  in paradise earth and back into our yearning, aching arms….now may those bible truths fill your hearts Rooky and Scarlett as we go on together living and loving, holding on to each other, everyday looking for our hope fulfilled, our precious family.  Thanks for all the love everyone has poured out on Benno and Megan and our family, much gratitude and thanks to all, it will be forever remembered.
Survived by children, Rook Nicholas and Scarlett Rae Penna; parents, Shawna (Sam) Zubiate, Sandra (Bert) Benteler, Jon (Leah) Hawk; siblings, Jon (Renae) Hawk, Lindsey Hawk, Lydia Hawk, Orlando (Shama) Zubiate, Rita (Michael) Hullinger and Fernando (Toni) Ortega.
