Beckham David Hatch passed away peacefully in the arms of his mother and father on April 15, 2026 at 8 years old.
Beckham was a miracle born into this world on the night of August 8, 2017 in American Fork, Utah. The moment he came into this world, everyone’s life was changed. You immediately felt his profound influence and healing love the moment you laid eyes on him.
He was the big brother to 5 siblings which he loved more than life itself. He was so protective over his siblings and did everything he could to take care of them as their older brother. Upon finding out about his brain tumor, his first response was worry his siblings would get one too, and thankfulness it was him and not one of them.
Beckham loved being outdoors. Whether it was hunting, fishing, looking for bugs or playing with his siblings and friends. He was so brave in everything he wanted to do—nothing could scare him. In his short 8 years of life he accomplished more than the average adult could. From hunting in Alaska, exploring the rainforest in Puerto Rico, to deep sea fishing mahi mahi in the Florida keys, he fulfilled every last wish of his.
He truly loved being outdoors. He was able to go on many adventures. In the last year, he harvested a buffalo, trophy elk, brown bear, mule deer, turkey and the sneaky coyote. He was an amazing hunter. And always reminded us by saying, “told you I never miss” each time. Leaving even the most skilled hunters amazed at his hunting abilities.
He had a love of Pokemon. His brother Ledger and he would had absolutely no limit on the amount of Pokemon packs they would want to open. As his talking and movement slowed down due to his tumor progression, it was a blessing to do something with him that still brought him happiness and enjoyment.
Beckham was an old soul with a love for anything military, especially World War II. He would watch countless documentaries extensively detailing every war, plane, tank, ammunition and story ever told.
He had a fierce love for people and always was always meant to be a leader. He attended Brookhaven Elementary where he made many outstanding friends. He was loved by everyone he met. And no one was left untouched by his influence. Knowing Beckham made you want to be a better person, and follow the Savior a little better.
He is survived by his mother Taylor Cole, father Gentry Hatch and their spouses Cameron Cole and Madison Hatch along with his siblings Ledger Cole, Navy Cole, Cannon Hatch, Carter Hatch and Goldie Cole.
