    My name is Barbara Ann Bouge Powell. I was born on July 23, 1943, in Washington City, Iowa, to Eugene Wilbur “Gene” Bouge and Elbertine “Bertie” Louise Burnett Bouge.    
    I died on September 14, 2026, peacefully at home in Mt. Emmons, Utah, with my loving husband by my side, at the age of 83.
    As daddy was in construction, we moved around a lot, but Elko, Nevada, was always home base. When I was 3 months old, my parents, me, and grandma Burnett moved to Elko because we already had family there. On April 25, 1947, my brother Michael Eugene Bouge was born in Elko. I graduated from Elko High School in 1961, with my life long best friend, Toni Schwin.
    Eventually I married, but I was unfortunate in that endeavor. Although, I was blessed with two sons, Dean Allen and Delbert Wayne. My second marriage was a flop also, but I did get a beautiful daughter, Rochelle Dawn, from that union. I am now married to Arvil Powell, and have been for 53 years. We married in 1973 in Elko, and our marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple on January 27, 1994.
    I leave behind my wonderful husband, Arvil; my children, Dean, Wayne, and Rochelle (Kevin); cousin, Patty (Evert) Jueden; 11 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
    I was preceded in death by my parents, my brother and his lovely wife, Marrlyn, 1 granddaughter, Shanette Loddy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Altamont Stake Center, Altamont, Utah.
    A viewing will be held from 9:00 - 10:45 AM.
    Burial in the Altamont Cemetery.
