Barbara Evans, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 27, 2023, at Utah Valley Hospital.
She was born December 11, 1944, to Charles and Delilah Mathews Larsen. She married Robert “Bob” M Evans in 1963 at the Salt Lake City Temple. Bob died August 22, 2008.
Barbara and Bob shared a connection that could withstand any storm. However, their love story doesn't end there. Barbara's love also extended to her children Angie and her late son Chuck.
Chuck was the joy of Barbara's life, and she cherished every moment she spent with him. She embraced his unique abilities, celebrated his accomplishments, and provided unwavering support throughout his life. The Mother/Daughter bond she shared with Angie was special. The four of them formed a close-knit family unit, supporting and uplifting one another through life's challenges. Creating a world filled with love, acceptance, and understanding.
Barbara's role as a grandmother brought her great joy. Her grandchildren and great- grandbabies were her world. Grandma Jewelry, as they lovingly called her, always had a twinkle in her eye when they were around. She loved creating lasting memories with them, whether it was baking cookies, or working on her garden.
In her free time, Barbara found solace in the pages of her favorite books. She was an avid reader, always eager to explore new worlds and gain knowledge. The Food Network was another source of inspiration for her, as she delighted in giving her daughter recipes for her to make.
She loved music and could often be found performing the songs of Elvis and Englbert Humperdink, regardless of her singing skills.
Barbara's faith was a cornerstone of her life. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she found strength and comfort in her beliefs.
Barbara Evans leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She will forever be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the impact she made on the lives of those around her.
