Arnold Marion Thiebaud Jr., age 88, of Valley Center, Kansas, our loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 19, 2021, with his dear wife at his side.
Arnold Jr. married the love of his life, Doris Louise Moon, of Duchesne City, Utah, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Arnold Jr. had a wonderful life that included serving in the Air Force, working on rocket engines during the space race, and working for Boeing Computer Services. He loved serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many different callings, and he especially loved serving for 12 years as a volunteer in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Temple.
He had an incredible memory, keen mind, and was a prolific writer (leaving a great legacy of books and writings for his family). He had a great love of French family history and a willingness to serve others. He was a giant of a man, humble, soft-spoken, and a man of God.
Arnold Jr. is survived by his wife and three children, Arnold III (Mindi), Robert (Summer), Audrey (Clint Checketts), and grandchildren, Reese & Anniston Thiebaud, and Daniel, Ezra, Clark, Jaina, Lincoln, and Claire Checketts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Sr. & Velma, sister, Beverly Lawrence Young, and brother, Richard Thiebaud.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary.  The burial will be in the Duchesne City Cemetery with military honors. The funeral services will be live-streamed at
