Arne Carlson

November 22, 1951 — August 7, 2025

Arne E. Carlson, a devoted father, loving grandfather, and passionate outdoorsman, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 7, 2025, at the Sr. Villa.  He was a man who lived with quiet strength, a love of laughter, and an abiding connection to the natural world.
Born to Gustav and Berith Carlson, on November 22, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah.   Arne was raised with a deep respect for Jesus Christ and his Swedish heritage, two things he carried with pride throughout his life. He found his greatest joy in the simplicity of nature: the stillness of the mountains, the quiet thrill of the hunt, and the serenity of a day spent fishing. These were not just pastimes for Arne, they were sacred rituals that connected him to the world and to those he loved.
Arne was a loving and dedicated father to his four children: Bjorn, Anika, Chelsey, and Erik. He was a guiding presence in their lives making sure to connect often with each one individually. His legacy also lives on in his twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Arne’s testimony that his family would be together forever through our Savior’s plan brought him great joy.
He is survived by his sister, Diane, sister-in-law, Kathy, four children, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his cherished parents, Gustav and Berith, and his dear brother, Lynn.
Those who knew Arne will remember his quick humor, his respect for tradition, and the way he lit up when sharing stories about his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and deep-rooted values that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. Minnet lever, det kan ej jordas.
