PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS OBITUARY HAS BEEN PLACED ON OUR WEBSITE AS A COURTESY TO THE WIDNER AND FITZGERALD FAMILILIES.  HULLINGER MORTUARY IS NOT HANDLING THESE SERVICES.

April Nichole “Nici” Widner, age 38, passed away on March 31, 2021, at her home in Altamont.
She was born in Roosevelt, Utah on January 25, 1983, to Dean and Doris Ames Fitzgerald.
She married her sweetheart Jason Widner on January 9, 2009, and together they raised their children, Kaidynn and Jordynn Maynes, Alii, Tak, Wyatt, and Mason Widner.
Nici described herself as mom, wife, make-up addict, gypsy soul, Lyme and Lupus warrior, spiritual healer, betty baker, and silly head.
Above all else she loved being a mom and spending time with her family, It broke her heart when she got so sick and was bedridden. She longed to be able to do all the mom things again.  The past year her health was getting better and just being able to get up and make breakfast for her kids brought her great happiness.
She loved the mountains and the time spent there brought her peace.
Nici was a warrior, she fought her own battles and she fought for those she loved.  She taught us patience and unconditional love, she radiated love, happiness, and beauty wherever she went.  It was hard not to be affected by her presence.  She was a role model to many.  She made friends wherever she went.  If she saw someone she thought was beautiful or liked something about them she wouldn’t hesitate to tell them.  She always saw only the good in people and it made her happy if she could make someone smile.
She gave the best heart hugs.  If you were really lucky you got a leg hug too…
If she could tell us anything it would be to stay authentic to yourself whatever that looks like, speak your truth, don’t judge, and above all spread love.
Her heart was shattered when her daughter passed away and she just didn’t know how to live anymore.
She will be deeply missed. Her passing didn’t just leave a hole in our hearts it left a hole in the world.  Our lives are better because of her.
She is survived by her parents, Dean and Doris Fitzgerald, husband, Jason Widner, children, Jordynn Maynes, Alii, Tak, Wyatt, and Mason Widner, sisters, Melissa (Jason) Lefler, Stephanie (Mike) Maynes, Lydia (Larry) Yerg, Clarissa (Kyle) Richens, Jacee (Scott) Crozier, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, in-laws, Steven and Patsy Guest.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kaidynn Maynes, grandparents, Floyd and Stella Ames, Bud and Beth Fitzgerald.
As Nici would say, PEACE OUT! Until we meet again…
As per her wishes, she was cremated.
