Anna Louise Cornpeach, age 45, of Whiterocks, passed away December 12, 2023, at the Uintah Basin Medical Center.
She was born September 4, 1978, in Roosevelt, to Albert Cornpeach and Flora Irene Cuch Cornpeach.
Anna had worked for the Ute Tribe Fish and Game Wet Lands Department, and as a water truck driver for Bandit Trucking, located in Vernal. She spent much time shopping at “Walldogs” – how she liked to refer to Walmart. She enjoyed anything outdoors: from hunting, to fishing, to camping, anything just to be outdoors. She was a mechanic and a “fix-it” woman. She really enjoyed her TV shows, traveling, writing poems, and drawing, which she excelled at. Her hobbies included listening to music, singing, and messing up the lyrics – her “remixes,” as she put it. One of her favorite pastimes was visiting her aunt, Ina Jane Nephi. She had a great sense of humor, was always the jokester, and took great care of her family. She always told them how much she loved them. She helped raise three of her grandchildren and was always there when needed to lend a helping hand.
Anna is survived by her brothers, Richard & Alex; a niece, Kayleena Cornpeach; three grandkids, Aivaaq, Rosalia, & Sonceray; an aunt, Ina Jane Nephi; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Irene; siblings, Alberta, Johanna, Julie, Mylene, Frank, & Daniel Cornpeach, and Jonathan Cuch.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Whiterocks Community Building. There will be a wake after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at her residence in Whiterocks.
Burial will be in the Waterfall Cemetery in Whiterocks.
